With thanks to our speakers and sponsors, this flagship event will bring together leaders in housing, health and social care to explore forward-thinking housing innovations for older people, share SHAPE Exchange insights, and highlight national and regional developments shaping healthier, more connected communities.
Overview
We’re delighted to be hosting two conferences in early 2026, with events in Newcastle on 24th February and Bristol on 12th March. Learn more about our Bristol event here, or dive into the full Newcastle programme below.
The Housing LIN Conference 2026 in Newcastle invites delegates to look ahead with purpose and help shape our homes for age, community and health. Anchored by the latest developments from the SHAPE Exchange programme, this forward-looking event explores what it truly means to design and deliver housing that enables people to live well as they age.
As we gather on 24th February, leaders from housing, health, and social care will come together to examine how inclusive, care-ready homes and age-friendly neighbourhoods can transform the experience of later life. Including expert speakers, interactive sessions and opportunities for cross-sector learning, the conference will highlight the evidence, insights and practical approaches that help us:
-
Design for our ageing future by developing housing and environments that anticipate changing needs, support independence and promote dignity throughout later life.
-
Build our community futures by strengthening collaboration across sectors, ensuring that residents, practitioners, policymakers and communities co-create places where people feel connected and supported.
-
Advance our healthy futures by applying research, technology and design solutions that enhance wellbeing, prevent ill-health and create homes that enable people to thrive.
From technology-enabled care to adaptable design and community-centred planning, the Newcastle conference offers a platform to explore how we can collectively build healthier, more connected futures.
