National Housing Design Awards 2024 shortlist announced

Design for Homes, the organisers of the National Housing Design Awards, have announced the shortlisted schemes for this year’s awards, including 10 completed retirement homes/extra care housing developments and projects in the pipeline, as well as two supported housing schemes.

IMPACT (Improving Adult Care Together) launches new recruitment campaign

IMPACT (Improving Adult Care Together) launches a new recruitment campaign for 2024/25 Senior Strategic Improvement Coaches (Demonstrators) and Facilitators. 

As IMPACT moves into the second year of its delivery phase, these pivotal roles have been created to work on their 2024/25 projects, across the UK.

Successful candidates will play a pivotal part in helping to get evidence of what works used in adult social care to improve services and lives.  

The closing date is Sunday 5th May.

Developing local housing partnerships: a Serious Game for older people’s housing

Two newly published resources present the findings from a pilot study of a ‘Serious Game’ called Hopetown, an innovative tool for developing local housing partnerships, led by the Social Care Institute for Excellence in partnership with Socialudo, United St Saviour's Charity and Housing LIN

The evaluation report presents the key learning from the study and the toolkit sets out ten steps needed to understand the local population and housing need, the cost benefits and social value.

Impact Report: Social Behavioural and Design Research Programme

Housing LIN is proud to have participated in the expert review panel, collaborating with others to advise the University of Stirling's Social Behavioral and Design Research Programme.

This report presents a range of impacts achieved by the Programme, including a focus on housing and environmental design for healthy cognitive ageing about the successes of the Designing Homes for Healthy Cognitive Ageing (DesHCA) project.
