Resource Roundup
New toolkit sets direction for making prevention a housing priority
Following publication of their recent strategic report with Foundations ‘Building health into homes’, the Royal College of Occupational Therapists have published an accompanying practical tool that sets out how leaders across health, housing and social care should act on one of the biggest drivers of system pressure – people’s homes.
The RCOT toolkit provides sector leaders with a clear and practical route to action, bringing together tools, guidance and real examples.
Care Where We Live: Local government's role in adult social care reform
This new LGA report on care places housing as central to reform. Against the backdrop of the Casey Commission, it recognises that housing-with-care options, accessible housing, home adaptations and lifetime adaptable design should all be viewed as core components of adult social care rather than separate policy issues.
Reimagining Living Spaces in the Heart of Communities
This new report from Inspiring Housing CLT and the University of Greenwich explores the feasibility of Garden Homes and Community Infill Sites as Age-friendly housing options.
Drawing on a project based in Salford, it sets out how to support older people to remain in their communities as alternative responses to the UK housing crisis, especially in relation to an ageing population.
Recording now available - Technology-enabled, co-designed housing for better later living
This "TAPPI Hour" webinar, coinciding with Co-production Week 2026, showcased co-designed housing solutions that put residents at the heart of decision-making.
The session explored how collaboration between tenants, housing providers and innovators can create homes and communities that better meet the needs of older people.
