Building Health into Homes: Operational Toolkit - How occupational therapy can unlock the connection between housing and health

RCOT Building Health into Homes Operational Toolkit cover

Following publication of their recent strategic report with FoundationsBuilding health into homes’, the Royal College of Occupational Therapists have published accompanying practical tool that sets out how leaders across health, housing and social care should act on one of the biggest drivers of system pressure – people’s homes.

The RCOT toolkit provides a clear and practical route to action, bringing together tools, guidance and real examples to support leaders to:

  • strengthen collaboration across health, housing and social care
  • embed housing within prevention, population health and system priorities
  • make the case for investment in earlier housing-led intervention
  • design services differently to reduce avoidable pressure on acute and crisis care.

And if you found this of interest, register to join our HAPPI Hour webinar on Tuesday, 21 July at 4pm when we will be exploring further with the RCOT team and other presenters on operationalising the recent resources.
