With greater emphasis on planning for neighbourhood health and the delivery of integrated local models of health and care, as set out in the NHS 10-year plan in England, the use of existing NHS assets and lands are under the spotlight to both support primary and community care closer to home ad looking to modernise acute provision.
As featured on these pages, this also presents opportunities for housing growth; from looking to release excess NHS land/property for development purposes and supporting more effective partnership working between councils/combined authorities, Integrated Care Boards, Homes England, and housing providers across local health and economies to improve access to health and care facilities and/or healthier homes.
