Close to 400 people signed up to attend our Wednesday, 1st March Housing LIN Summit session ‘Telecares: Technology and Healthy Ageing at Home’. Alyson Scurfield, CEO at the TEC Services Association, reported on the progress of TAPPI Phase Two, along with Susan Kay, CEO at Dunhill Medical Trust and Professor Roy Sandbach OBE, TAPPI Chair, who joined us for a panel discussion. Watch the recording.

To coincide with this session, we published short Q&As with the six TAPPI testbeds in which, six months after their recruitment, they give us an update on their project. These Q&As are available under the Testbeds section of the TAPPI microsite.

Last week, the Bield TAPPI Programme Board met and approved the acquisition of the different technologies that will be used within the proactive telecare trial and at the Bield digital demonstration hub. The team will now begin the process of procuring these technologies and installing them within participants’ homes and at the hub.  They are also excited to announce that a target launch date for the opening of the digital demonstration hub has been set for the end of March.

On 28 February, Daniel Rock, TEC Project Officer at Platform Housing Group presented and shared Platform’s contribution to the second phase of TAPPI with other TEC providers at TSA’s webinar 'Inspiring Your Technology Enabled Care plans for 2023'. Watch the recording and download the slides.

Last Thursday, in partnership with Community Housing a Technology Enabled Care Showcase was held at Platform’s TAPPI test site, Harling Court. The event generated lots of excitement amongst residents, who were all given the opportunity to get their hands on TEC solutions individually identified as ways to improve their safety, independence, and connectivity.

This week Gary, the TAPPI Programme Manager at Bield, met with our TAPPI Champions and Jolie from Co-Productions Works for a mentoring session and discussed how co-production is shaping the direction for Bield moving forward. Gary also gave a presentation about TAPPI at a Leadership Team strategy session. The Leadership Team were engaged with the presentation and asked some key questions. The session helped everyone to understand how the outcomes of TAPPI will help us to fulfil the future ambitions outlined in Bield's new strategy.
