Totnes, The Guinness Partnership

Description of Scheme

This Extra Care Scheme provides modern, independent living for those aged over fifty-five. Although not specifically for dementia care the scheme has incorporated many dementia friendly aspects.

The exterior of the building comprises a mixture of render, brick and three types of cementitious decorative cladding of differing colour and forms.

The interior communal areas benefit from being designed by an Interior Design Company with experience in designing for Extra Care and using Dementia Friendly Principals.

All of the apartments are fitted with a state of the art digital Warden Call System which is linked to the Door Entry System via a touch screen visual display unit.

Where Is It?

Located in Totnes this scheme sits on a greenfield site, close to the Town centre and overlooking the River Dart.
