Housing LIN updates Covid-19 practice briefings

Back at the tail end of March 2020, and with the uncertain escalation of the pandemic in the UK at that time, we created an online Coronavirus Info Hub.

It has captured relevant national government guidelines and practical information for our sector so you can be kept up-to-date of this rapidly evolving situation and take appropriate actions to protect residents an support staff in specialist housing such as extra care housing, sheltered housing and supported living, and those designing and commissioning services and schemes.

To this end, we have published 6 Covid-19 practice briefings to date that reflect the professional diversity of our highly prized network.

Over the last 5 months, as government advice and guidance has been published or changed, we have updated these periodically.

We are therefore pleased to report that with the government’s updated guidance on supported living and latest guidance on social distancing generally and for shielded groups specifically coming into effect this month, we have now refreshed two of our briefings.

Both provide useful information for risk planning in specialist housing, signposting to latest guidance, as well as examples of practice and where to go for further information and advice.
