Poverty in Wales 2018 - "Almost a quarter of people in Wales are trapped in poverty"

Findings from the latest Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) report, Poverty in Wales 2018, have discovered that almost a quarter of people in Wales are trapped in poverty - influenced greatly by rising living costs.

Poor quality jobs and cuts to working age benefits have also attributed to rising levels of poverty among pensioners, single people and couples with children, while progress on child poverty has stalled.
