Residents Information

Since living at Lovat Fields 96% of the people who responded to a questionnaire state that their general well being has either improved (58%) or has stayed the same (38%).

"A wonderful place to live in. Could not be better. I love it here."

"The door frames and thresholds of our last house weren't friendly to wheelchair alterations. We felt, and have learnt from residents in Lovat Fields a personal move after 70 years of age is very stressful. Therefore, our move to Lovat Fields at the age of 65 has provided my wife and I with peace of mind."

"I can't think highly enough about the Village; it's excellent. The whole village concept for older people is fantastic. It's not like a nursing or residential home. The friendliness of the people living here has been exceptional and there's always someone to help if you have problems."

"They gave me the inspiration to get up and go. ExtraCare really works and I'm now a different person."

Relevant Local Strategy

"We are seeking to develop a spectrum of housing and support services that offers choice and promotes well being. This support ranges from low level preventative services such as the new home improvement agency, through the community alarm and visiting warden service, available to all older people, to Extracare provision that can support people with care and even nursing needs in their own home."

Excerpt from Milton Keynes older People's Housing Strategy 2005-2008

Milton Keynes are developing a second Village, as well as considering other options for smaller schemes.
