New guest blog asks how investing in people can help communities live well

Following her appearance at our HAPPI Hour webinar, From caring places to neighbourhood health, on 3 November 2026, Bernadette Elder, Executive Director at Inspiring Housing CLT, shares learning from the Reimagining Living Spaces work in this new Housing LIN guest blog.

Drawing on conversations with residents, communities and partners, she describes how people spoke less about care services and more about connection, purpose and belonging, and did not separate housing, health and community. Bernadette argues that housing can be a platform for prevention, wellbeing and neighbourhood health, and invites others to share learning and build evidence together.
