Overview & Agenda
Hosted in partnership with The Open University and Bangla Housing Association, in this HAPPI Hour we spotlight the groundbreaking research funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust/Vivensa Foundation: Amar Bari, Amar Jibon (My Home, My Life). The three-year ABAJ study, which has explored the housing and care needs of the local ‘probin’ community across four East London boroughs, is now coming to a close. During the session, Dr Caroline Holland from The Open University shares key insights, presents the findings from this vital research, and discusses the recommended actions for addressing the housing and care needs of the older Bangladeshi community.
We also feature the work of Henri Baptiste at Housing Pathway Solutions on how black and minority ethnic community-led housing can flourish, hear from Mushtaq Khan on the work of the Housing Diversity Network and learn from Laura Benbow of Coastline Housing in the South West on her recent Housing LIN blog on addressing equality, diversity and inclusion.
