Overview & Agenda
This HAPPI Hour session, in celebration of Pride Month 2025, was presented in two parts.
First, we were proud to highlight an exciting new impact project aimed at improving access to information and services for older LGBTQ+ individuals in the London area. Developed in partnership with the Universities of Surrey and Hertfordshire, Tonic Housing and Stonewall, the presentations explore the theme of Making Safe Choices.
The second part of the session examines various models of accommodation with care for LGBTQ+ communities. This includes a new extra care housing scheme by Great Places Housing Association in Manchester—developed in collaboration with the LGBT Foundation—as well as the University of Kent's Circle research project, which focuses on creating inclusive residential care environments for older LGBTQ+ adults.
