Last week marked Accessible Homes Week, and we were proud to support Habinteg’s campaign to highlight how accessible homes can transform wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.

Future Leaders are inspired by guest speakers
The Housing LIN Future Leaders Programme, sponsored by Sovereign Network Group, met online last week.
We were delighted to be joined by Chan Kataria, Group Chief Executive of emh, and Susan Kay, CEO of the Vivensa Foundation, who shared their journeys into leadership.
We are proud to support Accessible Homes Week
Access to adequate and safe housing is recognised as a human right according to the United Nations and one of the core elements is the accessibility of a dwelling.
Last week, we were proud to support Habinteg’s Accessible Homes Week to celebrate what an accessible home can do for a person's wellbeing, independence and overall quality of life.
Everon Group and Howz announce strategic partnership to drive preventative care in social housing and assisted living
Everon Group, a leading provider of digital health and care solutions, and Howz, specialists in behavioural monitoring and care analytics, have announced a new partnership across the UK, Finland and Sweden.
The collaboration brings together Everon’s ecosystem of assisted living products with Howz’s remote monitoring platform to create a market-first technology solution.
Call for evidence from APPG Inquiry into Creating Intergenerational Communities
Earlier this year, the APPG on Housing and Care for Older People launched an Inquiry into ‘Creating Intergenerational Communities,’ co-chaired by Lord Best and Anna Dixon MP. Three sessions have so far gathered insights from practitioners and residents.
Now at its mid-point, the Inquiry is calling for evidence from those involved in or living in intergenerational communities. Submissions should cover design features, benefits, challenges, and lessons learned to inform practical recommendations for policymakers, developers, and housing providers.

Parliamentarians Launch New report Calling for Urgent Action to End Homelessness
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Ending Homelessness (APPGEH) has launched a new report: Homes, Support, Prevention – Our Foundations for Ending Homelessness, setting out how the UK Government’s forthcoming cross-departmental strategy can end homelessness for good.
New book examines how collaborative housing could transform care for Europe's ageing population
Published by Policy Press with the University of Bristol and LSE, this book explores how citizen-led housing can reshape ageing care across Europe, drawing on research, global examples, and policy insights from the Collaborative Housing and Innovation in Care (CHIC) project and 2023 festival.

New blog explores how Gloucestershire is driving accessible housing through AHR system
In this new Housing LIN guest blog, published to coincide with Accessible Homes Week, Neil Withnell, Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, explores the importance of accessible social housing.
He discusses the adoption of the London Accessible Housing Register system in Gloucestershire.
New blog explores lived experiences of disability, stigma, age and place
This new Housing LIN guest blog, written by Dr Dianne-Dominique Theakstone, Paula Rogers and Vikki McCall from the University of Stirling’s Intersectional Stigma of Place-based Ageing (ISPA) project, explores how disability, stigma, age and place intersect to shape everyday life.
This is the third in a series of Housing LIN guest blogs leading up to the 30th anniversary of the Disability Discrimination Act.
