There’s still time to register for tomorrow afternoon’s HAPPI Hour webinar exploring the latest research on older people’s housing preferences and decision-making.
Building on the findings of the Older People’s Housing Taskforce report and the Innovate UK-funded Housing LIN/Ipsos report on Older People’s Housing Preferences, this session will explore how older adults make informed housing choices.
Join us on Tuesday, 13th May 2025 from 4pm - 5pm!
Complete our survey to help shape practical tools to support older people in your community

Centre for Ageing Better, ARUP, and Housing LIN are working together to develop practical tools and resources to help councils take an age-friendly approach to planning, policy, and service delivery.
We are inviting people working in all kinds of councils in the UK to complete an online survey to help us understand what would help them to better meet the needs of their older residents, now and in the future.
The deadline for submission is tomorrow, Tuesday, 13th May 23:45.

Now Available: HAPPI Hour Webinar Recording on Intergenerational Living

Missed our latest HAPPI Hour? Watch the replay! We kicked off our Spring/Summer series with a fantastic session on Global Perspectives on Intergenerational Living, exploring age-inclusive housing design, policy, and community building around the world.
During the webinar, there was significant interest in bringing together local authorities to explore how they can support intergenerational living. If you are interested in learning more about how local authorities can contribute, please email us at info@housinglin.org.uk.
New report highlights the housing challenges faced by unpaid carers

Using data from their annual survey, a new report from Carers UK shines a light on carers’ housing situations and the challenges that can be faced with costs and accessible housing.
Supported by the Housing LIN, the report is based on data from the Carers UK 2024 State of Caring survey, which for the first time included a specific section on housing.
New Blueprint Helps Councils Scale Digital Preventative Care Services

ADASS and TSA have launched a free Blueprint, Unlocking the Power of Proactive and Preventative Care Services, to help UK councils expand digital preventative care.
Co-designed with over 100 stakeholders, it includes practical guides, planning tools, and financial models based on real council examples to support scalable TEC service delivery.
The Social Value of Intergenerational Approaches in Housing: Discovery Research and Impact Framework

This report, published by HACT, examines the new social value framework made in collaboration with Intergenerational England, SNG, and Clarion Futures that aims to help measure the impact of intergenerational approaches, with insights from research, policy, and cross-sector collaboration.
