The Dunhill Medical Trust is now the Vivensa Foundation

We’re excited to share that The Dunhill Medical Trust is now the Vivensa Foundation, a name that better reflects its commitment to ageing-related research and innovation.

At their 2025 Symposium held last week, key topics highlighted the breadth of work they have funded, including TAPPI, projects on digital exclusion and almshouses.

We were also pleased to hear from Susan Kay, Chief Executive of the Vivensa Foundation, who spotlighted their new five-year flagship programme, launched in partnership with Housing LIN. We look forward to developing this programme shaping innovative housing solutions for older people.

Following our recent South West Leadership Set awayday, this Housing LIN guest blog by Tony Watts OBE highlights the urgent need to strengthen the voices of older people in housing policy, especially in South West England.

Drawing from the Older People’s Housing Champions manifesto, it offers practical recommendations and urges stronger partnerships between government, developers, and older communities.
