Are you part of an innovative Assisted Living or Housing Association that supports older people to live independently?

Smplicare, a software startup based in Edinburgh, is conducting one of the largest studies ever involving wearables and older people to develop AI that predicts the risk of falls.

They're looking to partner with leading organisations like yours to recruit research participants for this large-scale study.

Register your interest by Monday, 1 August 2022.

Who is Smplicare and what is the study?

Smplicare, a software startup based in Edinburgh, is building the data-driven platform empowering the future of independent ageing. They apply AI to everyday wearables and digital health devices to predict the risk of adverse health outcomes to help people live safe, healthy, happy lives where they want to be. Company Number: SC702825

The UKRI-funded research looks at Healthy Ageing and Falls. Falls cost the NHS £4.2bn annually and 34% of the UK population over 65 is at risk of a fall each year - a key catalyst for people moving out of their current home to a residence where they can get additional support.

As part of the study, they plan to provide 300 older people with FREE wearables and body composition scales to develop software that supports them to live independently for longer by predicting the likelihood of falls. The study will commence in September and run for 11 months.
