Joint Strategic Needs Assessment: A springboard for action
This new Local Government Association (LGA) toolkit sees the renewed focus on Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) as a step change in the JSNA's statutory significance for Health and Wellbeing Boards and subsequent planning and commissioning intentions.
The toolkit accompanies the new Neighbourhood Health Framework and provides useful information on the range of data expected to support place-based health delivery in England. And with regard to housing growth, there is scope here to also inform local Plans and Spatial Development Strategies, as required under the National Planning Policy Framework.
