Doorstep Outreach A practitioner's guide to first engagement with older people

This report explores the 'doorstep' approach taken by the Ageing Better in Camden (ABC) Outreach Team to proactively find and engage with socially isolated older people that 'no one knows' in sheltered housing, including individuals who may be reluctant to access formal activities, help and support.

The resultant guide describes what a doorstep outreach looks like and gives practical information and advice on the do's and don'ts for holding doorstep conversations, how to prepare for them and ensure that they are effective.
