United St Saviour's Charity recruiting new Chair and two Trustees

United St Saviour's Charity has an exciting opportunity for individuals to join its Board as Chair and as two new Trustees, helping lead the Southwark-based charity into its next chapter.

United St Saviour's Charity has supported the people and communities of Southwark for almost 500 years, providing almshouses, grant-funding and community programmes across the borough. Most recently, the charity delivered Appleby Blue, a radical new model of social housing for older people which went on to win the RIBA Stirling Prize, the UK's most prestigious architecture award, and is now shaping national policy conversations on housing and ageing. The ground-breaking scheme has also been the subject of a Housing LIN Inspirational Achievement feature, as well as a Case Study and Viewpoint.

The charity is now recruiting a new Chair and two new Trustees to join its Board as it delivers an ambitious ten-year strategy, encompassing more homes for older people, deeper community investment, and a bigger national voice on housing and ageing.

For the Chair role, the charity is looking for board leadership experience, ideally including having chaired a board or significant committee before. No prior board experience is required for the Trustee roles. Both positions call for strength in one or more of: housing and property, governance, community development, or finance.
