#Jeremytalks

Welcome to #Jeremytalks and my weekly piece to audio where we unlock the latest news updates in our FREE weekly bulletin, #HLINks, week ending Friday, 13 November 2020.

This week we have been extremely busy on the external events front participating in a Lloyds Bank event in London on later life housing: chairing a session at a UKRI event with funded partners delivering the Healthy Ageing Challenge (keynote address: Andy Burnham); speaking at the CIH Eastern Summit and pre-recording a joint webinar with Shakespeare Martineau in conversation with Guild Living’s CEO about the later living market. We also issued a new Housing LIN guest blog by Cohabitas’ Nick Henley on the impact of homeworking in shared housing.

With a month to go, we are on the countdown for our #HLINSummit2020, week commencing 7 December. With 10 #HAPPIhour sessions spread over 5 days there is something for everyone. So, if you are interested in intergenerational living or want to find out more about designing accessible homes, want to understand what the digital future of the retirement market is or how can we embed greater leadership qualities to transform the housing and care offer for an ageing population, register now to attend our FREE virtual Summit.

And in this week’s HLINks, you can also read our curated round-up of other relevant news and events on later life living with regard to homes and communities, health and social care, design and technology, planning matters and more, including the result of the Centre for Ageing Better’s competition to find a better road sign icon depicting ageing. We really like the winning design – Strictly Ballroom!

Check this out and register here to keep in touch with all our news alerts and other notifications of your choice, sent direct to your inbox, including details about our week long, virtual #HLINSummit2020 on w/c Monday, 7 December to coincide with the first ever #HAPPIweek. And remember you can also follow us via our Twitter feeds: @HousingLIN, @HousingLINews and @HLINConsult

Lastly, if you would like to talk to us about any matters highlighted, share the learning about your work with other Housing LIN members and/or discuss how our consultancy services can assist you and your organisation, email ‘Jeremy talks’ at: info@housinglin.org.uk
