The 2026 Housing Design Awards shortlist has been published
The shortlist for the 78th Housing Design Awards has been announced. 53 schemes have been selected from 94 entries this year, including several specialist or supported housing schemes and/or intergenerational developments. Completed and project schemes of interest to Housing LIN members include;
- Alban Dobson House, an trauma-informed development in Merton by Formation Architects for Haig Housing Trust
- Clover House, a supported housing scheme in Manchester by DK-Architects for Jigsaw Homes North
- Melfield Gardens, an intergenerational housing development in Lewisham by Levitt Bernstein for Phoenix Community Housing
- A Housing LIN case study, cited in the recent APPG Inquiry report on creating intergenerational communities. Melfield Gardens will also be showcased in the upcoming Housing LIN HAPPI Hour on 28 April 2026, 4pm - 5pm.
- Moseley Almshouses in Birmingham by Pegasus Group for Lench’s Trust
- Oakfield Village, an intergenerational neighbourhood in Swindon by Metropolitan Worskhop for Nationwide Building Society/Igloo Regeneration
- Cited in the recent APPG Inquiry report on creating intergenerational communities
- RSAP Move-on Homes in Salford by Buttress for Salford Council
- The Foundry, a supported housing scheme in Salford by DK-Architects for Jigsaw Homes North
