NHF project on The Future of Supported Housing launched

The National Housing Federation (NHF) have announced the establishment of a new project on the future of supported housing in partnership with New Local.Chaired by former MHCLG Director, Terrie Alafat, the project will explore how to ensure supported housing is good quality, financially sustainable and able to grow so the sector can meet people’s needs, now and in the future.

The project will explore in particular

  • The role and value of supported housing across housing, health, social care, homelessness, criminal justice and local government systems.
  • How funding, commissioning and decision-making work at local, regional and national level.
  • Ways to better align investment with the outcomes and savings supported housing delivers.

Alongside this, several members of the Housing LIN are on the NHF project’s advisory board. We look forward to feeding in our experience supporting housing providers and commissioners on the implementation of the Supported Housing Regulatory Oversight Act.
