Melfield Gardens wins a national Housing Design Award

Following this year’s APPG Inquiry report on creating Intergenerational communities, ‘Housing our Ageing Population: Placemaking Intergenerationally’(HAPPI), congratulations to Levitt Bernstein architects for winning this year’s HAPPI design award for Phoenix Community Housing’s intergenerational scheme, Melfield Gardens, in Lewisham, London.

Presenting the prestigious prize at an award ceremony at Regent University, London, the Housing LIN’s CEO, Jeremy Porteus, said: “this is the second HAPPI award that team Levitt Bernstein and Phoenix Community Housing have won together at these awards in recent years. From extra care housing to intergenerational living, the strength of the age-friendly designs are clearly a winning formula!”
