Guidance: COVID-19 advice for accommodation providers

This guidance article from the government details the new requirements that businesses that provide holiday accommodation (hotels, hostels, B&Bs included) are expected to follow, as well the accommodations that are exceptions to this.

The guidance asks for holiday accommodation businesses to begin to close down. Exceptions to this rule are accommodation providers that:

  • Are part of the response to support key workers or vulnerable groups
  • Are housing people that have had emergencies that made their own home inhabitable
  • Are providing rooms to support homeless people
