Overview

Have we got an exciting HAPPI Hour session for you! We are joined by not one, but two, national Housing Design Awards-winning developments to explore what the art of the possible is in community-led housing and cohousing.

The first is Archio’s plans for Angel Yard in Norwich, winner of this year’s Design Award for Innovation (and last year for Citizens’ House). We then return to Bridport Cohousing with Barefoot Architects for an update on Hazelmead in Bridport, Dorset, winner of winners at this year’s ceremony, featured as a Housing LIN case study.

We also feature the latest developments at Rupali Court, and the innovative Housing 21 cohousing scheme for the Bangladeshi community in Lozells, Birmingham. We hear how Housing 21 is creating a new vision for responding to local people’s aspirations for alternative cohousing initiatives in later life.
