what is extra care housing?
With our conference 'An IdeasFest: A Fresh Look at Homes for All Ages' taking place this Friday (23rd March), the first video in the series 'What is Extra Care Housing?', is now live via our YouTube channel.
The film focuses on the importance of Extra Care Housing with thoughts and opinions of residents across 20 ECH schemes, the dedicated care staff that look after them and the industry professionals governing these schemes.

The remaining films will be launched on a staggered schedule in the following months, so that we can build momentum around this new series, and allow each film to have its own impact.
"'What is Extra Care Housing?'" is the overarching centrepiece for our 'Spotlight on Extra Care Housing' video series. It has been made for a wide audience and reflects the importance ECH has on those in need of retirement living with that extra bit of support. We at the Housing LIN are excited to release a wide range of forthcoming videos which will cover topics including Dementia, Design and Assistive Technology for your viewing", says Jeremy Porteus, Director of the Housing LIN.
