Launched today, this new guide by The Housing Forum looks to address society’s failure to provide suitable homes for the ageing population by setting out a range of practical suggestions with 16 case studies demonstrating diverse solutions and inspired thinking.

While not housing specific, this outcomes and improvement framework, commissioned by the LGA and the ADASS, aims to help directors of adult social services work with their colleagues and partners to identify how they can improve how they support adults with learning disabilities and autism.

We are pleased to report that the first TAPPI Inquiry session took place this afternoon. Funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust and chaired by Professor Roy Sandbach, the new Inquiry brings together a panel of industry experts and witnesses who will give evidence and review the scope for a cross-cutting framework that ensures that technology supports an integrated approach to meeting the needs and aspirations of an ageing population.

Further to last month’s announcement of a new ground-breaking research project to study the true impact of Covid-19 on retirement villages and extra care housing schemes across England, the deadline for completing the RE-COV survey has been extended by a week.
