How can and should UK society adjust to dementia?

This paper from the JRF will be of interest to those interested in the politics of disability and the application of the social model of disability to dementia.

It challenges the assumptions about the dementia in the context of a medical model of disability and perceived ageism and seeks to break down stereotypical thinking around services and place.

It concludes, "we hope that this will stimulate debate about new ways forward in both understanding and meeting the needs of the growing number of people living with dementia".
