Examining new options and opportunities for providers of NHS care: The Dalton Review

The NHS 5 Year Forward View (see below) emphasised that new care models are needed to support and care for people. This subsequent review considers a number of organisational forms that have the potential for wider adoption across NHS providers: federations, joint ventures, service level chains, management contracts, integrated care organisations and multi-service chains or Foundation Groups. While housing is not referenced, organisations will want to keep an eye on local CCG strategic commissioning plans and their intentions for the future service models they wish to support, both to better understand what type of primary and hospital services are available for residents and/or how they may best interface with housing related care and support services.
