Rose Gilroy is Professor of Ageing Planning and Policy in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, Newcastle University Her work explores how home, and neighbourhood support quality of life in later life. Rose is committed to change and her work is action oriented. She founded the Future Homes Alliance CIC that worked to develop flexible, tenure neutral, inter-generational housing. Sadly, too big an ambition to realise in tough times. Rose chairs Newcastle Age Friendly City. She is a trustee of Vivensa Foundation and chairs the advisory group for the SHAPE Exchange.
