The lived experience of bathing adaptations in the homes of older adults and their carers (BATH‐OUT): A qualitative interview study

The lived experience of bathing adaptations in the homes of older adults and their carers (BATH‐OUT) cover

The aim of this Northumbria University NIHR SCCR funded study (published by Wiley) was to explore the views and experiences of older adults and their carers who had received a bathing adaptation in order to examine how the adaptation had affected them and identify mechanisms of impact and outcomes from their perspectives.

BATH-OUT identified the preventative qualities and importance of environmental adaptations to bathing facilities for older and found that improved ability in bathing independently appeared to greatly people's confidence and quality of life.
