Nothing About Disabled People Without Disabled People

Hammersmith and Fulham Disabled People’s Commission present this report that focuses on how to remove the barriers disabled people face in the London borough, through embedding a culture of co-production within the council.

The key findings from the report were that:

• Many say quality of life has gone down
• Some feel they can’t influence local decisions
• Councillors & staff want to work better with disabled residents

The commission says that disabled people within the borough alonside their user-led organisations should be working with the council to “identify, design, and evaluate policy decisions and service delivery”.
