The Mental Health Needs of People Living in Extra Care Housing
This paper was first published in April 2009 in the Journal of Care Services Management, and is available free of charge for a 6-month period by kind permission of Maney Publishing (http://www.maney.co.uk/journals/csm_ (opens new window)). It reports data from 268 residents in ten extra care schemes who were judged by staff to be at risk from exclusion due to mental health problems. The finding suggest that a proactive approach to people's mental health in ECH is needed to enable a good quality of life.
