Safe as houses - what drives investment in social care

This CSCI report focuses on how bankers and others view investment in social care and raises some of the implications for the future development of personalised care. The report focuses primarily on investment decisions in social care services for older people but there are implications for all care services for adults.

The report is based on seminars to which investors were invited. It does not deal in detail with the joint commissioning of health and care services by local councils and primary care trusts (PCTs), though many of its points are equally applicable in that context.
