Poetry Corner - Craftsman

We are pleased to publish the latest poem by Brian Wilks

A master craftsman
Fine furniture his forte
Did not take kindly
To arriving
At the old peoples' home
However 'upmarket'
The family said it was.

Until at Breakfast
Taken in the dining-room
He saw
Dining tables and a suite of chairs,
Almost Chippendale,
An apprentice work of his
From years ago.

At which he readily sat for meals
Content.
