Hammersmith and Fulham Disabled People’s Commission present this report that focuses on how to remove the barriers disabled people face in the London borough, through embedding a culture of co-production within the council.
The key findings from the report were that:
- Many say quality of life has gone down
- Some feel they can’t influence local decisions
- Councillors & staff want to work better with disabled residents
The commission says that disabled people within the borough alonside their user-led organisations should be working with the council to “identify, design, and evaluate policy decisions and service delivery”.
