Housing and Ageing: Linking strategy to future delivery for Scotland, Wales and England 2030

Housing and Ageing

This new report from Stirling University, jointly branded by the Housing LIN and other organisations, looks at the future of housing in the UK, and has been submitted to the UK, Scottish, and Welsh governments in a bid to ensure a joined-up approach to housing across the UK.

Housing and Ageing: Linking Strategy to future delivery for Scotland, Wales and England 2030, recommends that housing should play a central role in the provision of services for older people.

It also calls for new adaptable and affordable housing to be built; investment in early intervention; and meaningful consultation with older people.

The findings from this important tri-nation research have been influential in inspiring us to create our new Scottish focused Housing LIN webpages.  These pages provide a ‘one-stop’ source of information on latest policy, practice and research developments affecting housing Scotland’s ageing population and are essential online resource for anyone seeking to plan, design, develop and deliver a better age-friendly housing offer.
