Fire safety: Specialised housing and care homes
Commissioned by The Health and Safety Executive and Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, this study undertaken by PRP architects, investigates if current design guidance effectively addresses the unique fire safety needs of retirement housing, supported housing, housing with care, and nursing homes in England.
This work forms part of the government's technical review of Approved Document B (Fire Safety), examining a range of specialised housing and care home typologies in England and assessing the document’s guidance for each.
