Building a Society for all Ages

Housing LIN Briefing No33

Building a Society for all Ages is the government strategy for how society makes the most of an ageing population where pensioners outnumber children and improvements to health care mean more people surviving into older age. It follows in the footsteps of Opportunity Age published in 2005 and takes account of cross government changes to the pensions and health and social care systems. It was published in July 2009 alongside, Shaping the Future of Care Together, the DH Green Paper.
