Awareness and adjustments are key to tackling health inequalities

Citing health inequalities are their main priority, the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG) have released this discussion paper to set out what social care providers believe can help or hinder the health treatment of people supported.

The publication follows a recent review that found in England, people who are dying prematurely as a result of health inequalities would, each year, otherwise have enjoyed a total of between 1.3 and 2.5 million extra years of life.
