Ageing London: How do we create a world-class city to grow old in?


London's population is expected to grow by 1.5m people to 8m by 2030.

This report from the Mayor of London's Design Advisory Group highlights that part of the projected growth is increasing longevity. People are living longer and there will be more older people living in London


It asks whether it will place challenging demands on public services or bring opportunities.


To address this, it explores and makes recommendations in relation to supporting active older citizens, meeting housing needs and aspirations and addressing city wide, age-friendly issues, so that the capital can be better prepared for an increase in older Londoners.
