Planning and responding to the demands of working from home during the COIVD-19 pandemic.

Prior to lockdown 1.0, many people would not have had the opportunity to explore the feasibility of working from home, as the working day was spent in the office. But, as the effects of the pandemic grew, working from home become a norm for people across the UK and so did finding new ways to reflect and find soluations. 

In this new Housing LIN guest blog, Carla Fulgoni, Planning Officer and Appeals Manager at The Planning Bureau Ltd. and Chair of the Dorset Young Planners’ Committee, reflects on the experience of young planners planning and responding to the demands of working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Carla reflects on how Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Young Planners adapted to their new home working surroundings and explores some of the unexpected positive consequences and opportunities that accompanied this new way of working, both professionally and personally.
