Socrates seeks views on priority areas for social care rapid evaluation
At Socrates – the NIHR Social Care Rapid Evaluation Team – they are updating their list of priority areas for rapid evaluation. They would value your advice, so that their funder can have an up to date picture of important areas of practice to focus on in the next two years.
Please share your views by January 18th 2026 using this link (opens new window) to a 10-minute survey.
Socrates is a five-year NIHR funded rapid evaluation team. To date, they have conducted/are conducting evaluations related to Adult Digital Social Care Records, Young People’s Domestic Violence Advisors, Safeguarding by Sharing Information, Cocreated Housing Innovations for Care Leavers, Adult social care and poverty, Family Work and Falls Prevention. They are also planning a rapid evaluation of transitions from children’s to adults services. As more of their evaluations so far relate to children’s social care than adults’, in the remaining two years of our current grant they are aiming to rebalance this.
As well as completing the survey, if you are involved in an innovation which you think could benefit from rapid evaluation, please email details to Cpec.Socrates@lse.ac.uk.
