The Housing LIN and ARUP, in partnership with the Centre for Ageing Better, are developing a series of Quick Guides to help make our built environment more age-friendly. These guides are designed for local authorities and anyone involved in designing public spaces.

We’ve identified 7 key features that make communities more age-friendly:

  1. Seating and rest areas
  2. Toilets
  3. Parks and green spaces
  4. Public and community buildings
  5. Bus stops
  6. Streets and pavements
  7. Wayfinding and signage

Now, we need your input! We are looking for examples of successful age-friendly initiatives in these areas that can be highlighted in our guides.

Please share your experiences by completing this short survey by Friday 28th November, 5pm. Your insights will help inform best practice and support more inclusive, age-friendly communities.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute. If you have any questions, please contact research@housinglin.org.uk.
