PM sets out new path to fix social care together
New Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has set out his commitment to end decades of political drift on social care and fix the system so that it gives people dignity, security and support when they need it most. With an emphasis on prevention, supporting people to live independently for longer, he highlighted challenges across health and social care systems that need to be overcome as well as stating that he would bringing forward the conclusion of Baroness Casey’s commission to report back with a plan on how to deliver the National Care Service.
