A new report, Beyond the White Picket Fence, has been launched following a London event bringing together experts across housing, health, and ageing.

Written by Savannah Fishel as part of her Churchill Fellowship, the report draws on experiences from 54 communal housing settings in Australia and the USA. It highlights how intergenerational living can reduce loneliness and foster deeper community connection.

Proudly backed by the Housing LIN, the report outlines 10 key opportunities to support this model in the UK, including policy reform, pilot projects, and shifting cultural narratives.
