New report explores housing inequalities facing older people in the North

A new Northern Health Science Alliance (NHSA) report, launched at the House of Commons in June 2025, highlights stark housing inequalities for older people in the North of England.

With 1.47 million homes deemed non-decent (over a third occupied by people aged 60+), the report links unsafe housing, fuel poverty, and poor accessibility to declining health and rising NHS costs.
