New report calls for inclusive action to tackle later life housing inequalities

A new report from the Centre for Ageing Better, delivered by the Race Equality Foundation, highlights the urgent need to address poor-quality housing faced by older people from racially minoritised communities.
The research reveals that 38% of Black, Asian and minority ethnic households experience housing problems, compared with 25% of White households. It calls for the development of anti-racist, inclusive “Good Home Hubs” to ensure safe, accessible housing for all.
The report urges policymakers, local authorities and service providers to act now to prevent worsening inequalities and support better later-life living conditions across England.
