New blog shares Riverside’s vision for tackling loneliness and supporting ageing well

In this new Housing LIN guest blog, John Glenton, Executive Director, Care and Support Services at The Riverside Group, shares insights from the launch of the APPG on Housing and Care for Older People inquiry into intergenerational communities.

Drawing on Riverside’s all-age Extra Care schemes, he highlights how shared living can reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing for both older and younger residents. With single-person households rising and the over-60 population set to surge, he argues for inclusive housing models and sector-wide action.
